Product Details

【Product name】Ammonia water, also known as ammonia water.

【Product overview】According to the 2015 edition of the List of Hazardous Chemicals and the Classification Information Table of Hazardous Chemicals, ammonia water is listed as the 35th hazardous material.

【Product characteristics】

Colorless transparent or slightly yellow liquid, some products may appear slightly turbid due to impurities.

The freezing point and boiling point are concentration dependent: the freezing point of 20% concentration ammonia water is about -35 ℃, and the melting point of pure ammonia is -77.773 ℃.

Easy to evaporate, the amount of volatilization increases with temperature, concentration, and prolonged storage time.

High temperature will reduce the viscosity and density of ammonia water, while causing a decrease in boiling point, accelerating decomposition and volatilization.

Has weak alkalinity, instability, corrosiveness, oxidizing and reducing properties. ‌

【Application area】

Mainly used for fertilizer manufacturing. In recent years, the scope has expanded to include desulfurization, denitrification and environmental protection projects for thermal power plants, thermal power plants, cement production enterprises, coal coking enterprises, etc.

‌In the field of chemistry: used for preparing chemical reagents, buffers, drugs, etc.

Industrial field: used for manufacturing cellulose, plastics, petroleum products, glass, etc.

Medical field: used for manufacturing drugs, disinfection, medical dressings, etc.

【Usage and precautions】

The concentration of industrial ammonia water is usually 25% -28%, and it needs to be diluted according to specific applications. For example, the commonly used concentration for disinfecting sarin toxins is 10% (20% in winter); For the external treatment of skin infections in medicine, a 30% concentration solution is generally applied directly or wet applied to the affected area.

When diluting, slowly add ammonia water to the water and stir to avoid volatilization and local overheating.

Operators are required to wear gas masks, acid and alkali resistant gloves, and goggles to ensure good ventilation in the workplace.

Do not come into direct contact with acids, oxidants (such as chlorine gas), or metal powders to prevent violent reactions or explosions.

A small amount of leakage is absorbed by sand or inert materials and transferred to a dedicated waste liquid tank; A large amount of leakage requires the construction of embankments and the use of explosion-proof pumps for recovery.

Immediately rinse with clean water for 15 minutes after skin contact, seek medical attention in case of burns; Rinse with 3% boric acid solution after eye contact and seek medical attention.

【Packaging and storage】

Packaging specifications: Tank truck, 10KG drum, 25KG drum, 200KG drum, ton drum and other specifications required by customers.

Store in a cool and ventilated place, with a temperature not exceeding 30 ℃, and avoid direct sunlight; Seal and store in corrosion-resistant containers (such as plastic or glass).

During transportation, the container should be fixed to avoid collision and leakage, and the vehicle should be equipped with emergency handling equipment (such as sand and neutralizing agents)
